Imagine yourself being stripped of everything you’ve worked for. Everything you ever knew, including your freedom and dignity, is taken away. Marked with a star in yellow, making you look inferior. This marks you out as a target. Verbally harassed or physically assaulted with no cause. You are no longer considered a human being, but rather a sewer rodent. Your family is taken to the execution chamber, and you must hide. You are constantly in fear and uncertainty. You have nowhere to turn. Everyone is against you. How can you protect those who are close to you from murder? How can you survive? This is a real scenario. Anne Frank, along with her family, was forced into hiding by the Nazis to avoid certain death. In the midst of our gathering, it is my pleasure to present Lluis’s portrait. Anne’s eyes are not fixed on the present but are looking ahead to what the future holds. This portrait shows Anne as a girl who is focused on the positive and not the negative. Anne’s diary has been a source of inspiration for millions who have lived through war, violence and injustice. Her courage in the face adversity and her bravery have been an inspiration for generations.
Anne’s courage in hiding in her secret annex demonstrates her will to continue. She is aware that she will most likely die if she leaves the attic. She is scared and trapped, but she still has the courage to continue. All of these are situations where she displays courage. Even though she is often in these situations, her hope of the future does not fade, and the essence courage is her ability to keep going. Anne declares, “I’d like to live on even after I die!” Write and I will shake everything off; my sadnesses will vanish; my courage reborn. Her words have resonated with people all over the world and she has become a role model to many.
Anne Frank has many themes. One theme that stood out was persistence. Her story proves that persistence is the key to overcoming any obstacle. Perseverance is a quality that comes to those who remain positive when the going gets tough, keep their head up, and adapt to difficult circumstances. Perseverance is defined by this. Anne Frank is a woman who was modern in many aspects in her day and remains a role-model for us to this day. She demonstrated to many how she was able endure mockery, violence and abuse. She was able to succeed despite the odds. She was a teenager who lived with self-doubt. But she also saw an opportunity. Even in the face of misfortune, beauty is there. . .. I remember Anne Frank as an amusing and pleasant girl, but she was superficial. She had nothing to do with my life.”
ConclusionThe atrocities Anne Frank endured during her lifetime didn’t tarnish how she saw the World. The story of Anne Frank is one that will live on in the hearts and minds of those who read it. It is a story that continues to ignite the passions of all who read it. She is able to maintain her optimism despite the overwhelming odds. This shows that she believes in humanity. When she says, “In spite everything, despite all the bad things that have happened, I still think people are good..I can feel the sufferings millions, but if i look up to the heavens I think that there will be peace, tranquility, and an end to this cruelty.” Courage. Optimism. Persistence. Her legacy is persistence. Anyone can see it if they have an eye for it. Let’s start.
